Stepney Football Club's Annual Awards Ceremony was held on Monday 20 th July 2009 to celebrate the achievements of the club and all the players. Guests in attendance included the Mayor of Tower Hamlets Cllr Ahmed Omer, Cllr Lutfur Rahman (Leader of the Council), Cllr Rofique Uddin Ahmed (Lead Member Leisure & Culture), Cllr Olliur Rahman (Lead Member Employment & Skills), Cllr Alibor Choudhury (Ward Cllr) and a number of colleagues from TATA Consultancy Services including Malcolm Lane.
The Club's achievement this year included receiving FA Charter Standard Club Status from London FA, winning the Inner London Football League Premier Division and Cup for a second successive season and establishment of an Under 14 Team which participated in the Sports Network Council League and finished 4 th place and runners up in the league club. A B Team was also formed in partnership with Revive FC and took part in the summer league.
